    Turkish Prime Minister Mesud Yilmaz Monday urged that the issue of Kosovo and Metohija be resolved peacefully, through dialogue.

    Opening the second southeast European summit, Prime Minister Yilmaz said a peaceful solution was a way to preserve, within a democratic constitut ional system, the legitimate rights of Serbs, ethnic Albanians, ethnic Turks a nd others in the province.

    The Yugoslav delegation to the summit in the Turkish resort of Anta lya is headed by Prime Minister Momir Bulatovic. The other participants are the heads of government of Turkey, Greece, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Romania and the foreign minister of Albania.

    The Turkish Prime Minister said the purpose of the summit was to im part a further impulse to all-round cooperation in the region, for which he s aid good conditions and a general interest existed.

    [02] SOUTHEAST EUROPEAN SUMMIT OPENS IN ANTALYA

    A two-day summit of southeast European countries opened in the Turkish resort of Antalya Monday.

    The Yugoslav delegation to the two-day summit -- whose main theme is regional cooperation and the impact of the world economy on processes in southeast Europe -- is headed by Prime Minister Momir Bulatovic.

    The other participants are the heads of government of Greece, Roman ia, Bulgaria, Macedonia and Turkey and the foreign minister of Albania.

    The Antalya summit is expected to reaffirm the accords on the strengthening of all-round cooperation in the region reached at the firs t summit held on Crete last year.

    Yugoslav Prime Minister Bulatovic and Foreign Minister Zivadin Jova novic said on arriving in Antalya that Yugoslavia was ready, in keeping with i ts foreign policy commitments, to make a full contribution to the strengthe ning of comprehensive ties among the states of region.

    Bulatovic met Sunday evening with Turkish Prime Minister Mesud Yilm az, and Jovanovic with Turkish Foreign Minister Ismail Cem.

    Prime Minister Bulatovic, who will have a series of bilateral conta cts during the summit, is scheduled to meet with his Greek counterpart, Cost a Simitis, Monday evening.

    The Antalya summit is attended by Croatia and Bosnia-Herzegovina, a s observers.
