  • [01] YUGOSLAVIA TO PROMOTE COOPERATION WITH ITALY, SLOVAKIA

B e l g r a d e, Nov. 11 (Tanjug) - The Yugoslav Government established bases for resumption of talks between Yugoslavia and Italy to be held in Belgrade on November 13-14 on signing an Agreement on Spurring and Protecting Investments. The Yugoslav Government said at a session that the signing of the Agreement would result in creating conditions for improved economic cooperation between Yugoslavia and Italy, especially in the field of investments.

The Yugoslav Government heard a report on the previous talks with Slovakia on the avoidance of double taxation and approved a draft agreement between the two countries in this field.

[02] YUGOSLAVIA, MACEDONIA HOLD SOCIAL WELFARE TALKS

B e l g r a d e, Nov 11 (Tanjug) - Talks between Yugoslavia and Macedonia in the field of social welfare started in Belgrade on Monday, the Yugoslav Secretariat of Information said. Delegations of the Government of F.R. Yugoslavia and the Republic of Macedonia held talks about the conclusion of the accords on social welfare between the two neighbouring friendly countries. Special importance will be attached to the normalization of mutual pension payments to beneficiaries in the territory of Yugoslavia and in Macedonia.

[03] CONTINUATION OF SUCCESSION TALKS FOR EX-YUGOSLAVIA ON TUESDAY

B r u s s e l s, Nov. 11 (Tanjug) - Talks on the succession of the former Yugoslavia continue here on Tuesday, the Cabinet of Sir Arthur Watts, Head of the International Succssion Group, said on Monday. The new round of talks, which opened a month ago also in Brussles, will be attended by delegations from the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, Croatia, Bosnia-Herzegovina, Slovenia and Macedonia.

The agenda will include the principles for the identification of ex-Yugoslavia's state property, discussed by the succession working group of the Council for the Implementation of Peace.

No major advancement has been made since the start of the new series of succession talks in March 1996 which involved five rounds of bilateral talks. The first talks with the participation of all interested parties were held in mid-October.

The group of Yugoslav experts, headed by Academician Kosta Mihajlovic, is trying to reach just solutions which would enable all interested parties to receive compensation based on realistic facts.

However, the representatives of the former Yugoslav republics have so far demanded the partial division of property belonging to the former Yugoslavia and which now belongs to the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia, rather than of the joint property which remained within the former Yugoslav republics after their secession.

[04] YUGOSLAV DEPUTY FOREIGN MINISTER LEAVES FOR CAIRO

B e l g r a d e, Nov. 11 (Tanjug) - Yugoslav Deputy Foreign Minister Radoslav Bulajic left for Cairo on Monday, at the head of a Yugoslav state-economic delegation at the official invitation of the Egyptian Government. The Yugoslav delegation will take part in the 3rd Economic Conference for the Middle East and North Africa scheduled for November 12-14. State delegations from more than 17 countries and about 4,000 businessmen from all over the world will attend the Conference.

[05] YUGOSLAVIA TO ATTEND PARIS CONFERENCE

B e l g r a d e, Nov. 11 (Tanjug) - Yugoslav Government adopted a platform on Monday for an International Conference on the implementation of the Dayton Peace Accords, to be attended by Bosnia-Herzegovina Collective Presidency. This important meeting will be held in Paris on Nov. 13-14 and will discuss future activities of the international community and peace implementation council regarding consolidation of the situation in Bosnia-Herzegovina, the Yugoslav Information Secretariat said after the Government's session.

Yugoslav Foreign Minister Milan Milutinovic will be the head of the Yugoslav delegation.

[06] KRAJISNIK DESCRIBES TALKS WITH KRONBLUM AS FRUITFUL

P a l e, Nov. 11 (Tanjug) - Republika Srpska Member of the three-member Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency Momcilo Krajisnik said that his talks on Monday with Assistant U.S. Secretary of State John Kornblum were fruitful. We discussed a number of issues, including the future work of joint institutions in Bosnia, and current problems between the entities and within the entities themselves (Republika Srpska and Bosnia-Herzegovina Federation), Krajisnik said.

He expressed hope that at Tuesday's Bosnia-Herzegovina Presidency session, held at the Zemaljski Museum in Sarajevo, formed would be a Council of Ministers which, he said, has already been agreed with the International Community's High Representative Carl Bildt.
