NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The Republika Srpska (RS) Prime Minister Milorad Dodik who is an official visit to Japan on the invitation of Japanese Foreign Affairs Minister Keizi Obuci will visit ancient Japanese capital Kyoto. In the framework of his visit Dodik met officials of the Japanese Foreign Affairs Ministry and had talks on a current situation and implementation of the Dayton Peace Accord.

DOBOJ - Department of the RS Ministry of Refugees and Displaced Persons in Doboj forwarded a request for refugees from Croatia to register all property they had in their places of their earlier residence. The RS Ministry of Refugees and Displaced Persons should, with this data and with mediation of the international organisations, discuss possibilities for compensation or restitution of the property.

VUKOVAR - Croatian Foreign Affairs Ministry assessed that exiled Serbs will not have a mass return to Croatia. The Ministry explained this with the information that 105 persons applied in FRY for return to Croatia with average 60 years of age.

BRUSSELS - Belgium Security Service uncovered two minor warehouses of arms intended for the so called "Kosovo Liberation Army" (OVK) and estimated that ethnic Albanian were leaving from Brussels to Kosmet where they have been recruited to that terroristic organisation. Besides this information "Morgen" conveys that ethnic Albanian organisations in Belgium collect money for "liberation of a homeland" although there is an official information that it is all about "humanitarian projects or medical help".

SKOPLJE - Macedonian Conservative Party sent a request to the BJRM President Kiro Gligorov, President of the Parliament Tito Petkovski and Prime Minister Branko Crvenkovski to make a decision by which receiving of that country in the NATO military structures would be temporary held up. Conservative leader Straso Angelovski explained that NATO in the Kosovo crisis operates from the pro-Albanian positions what encouraged ethnic Albanian terrorists and their actions.

JULY 4, 1998 EVENING

NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - Belgrade's attorney Toma Fila confirmed for SRNA that a body of Slavko Dokmanovic, a former Mayor of Vukovar, has been transferred today from the Hague to Belgrade. During the day an autopsy will be performed while the funeral will take place on the graveyard in Sombor where live the Dokmanovic family. "The Hague Tribunal did not call our men to attend the autopsy so we are forced to perform another autopsy today. Nobody called us nor they dispatched documents to us on their findings", said Fila.

MOSTAR - In the village of Ortijes near Mostar 30 Serbs and 20 Muslim families have returned - conveys the Croatian Radio Herceg-Bosna. Thanks to the UNHCR help and some international organisations, 25 houses in Ortijes have been prepared already for returnees , and construction material for repair of other houses is expected soon.

MOSTAR - President of the B&H Croatian Democratic Party (HDZ) Ante Jelavic announced that the HDZ would soon be reorganised. Also the B&H HDZ Presidency will move from Mostar to Sarajevo - conveys the Croatian Radio Herceg-Bosna.

MODRICA - For the forthcoming elections in Republika Srpska (RS) in three registration centres in the Modrica Municipality voters cards have been picked up by 92, i.e. 26% of citizens and 521 new voters have been registered - stated for SRNA President of the Local Election Commission Ilija Andric.
