SARAJEVO - Five months after holding of local election in Republika Srpska (RS) and Muslim-Croat federation the OSCE has verified election results only in the municipalities where political representatives have managed to concord their stances about party and personnel solutions in the local organs of power. Problem had occurred in "disputable municipalities where representatives of Serbian parties and Coalition for Whole and Democratic B&H failed to reach a compromise. Besides Brcko - where multi-national municipal authority has been formed, first of all thanks to efforts of the international community personified in function and authorities of the Supervisor Robert Farrand - process of constitution of the municipal authority has come to an end or is close to it also in until recently 'disputable' municipalities, such as Srpsko Gorazde or Prijedor - is said in the review of Radojka Kenjic titled "Stet by step in the disputable municipalities".

SARAJEVO - According to Sarajevo's press reports, B&H Parliament, which should adopt a law which would annul the Law on Temporary Abandoned Apartments, is trying to disable return of pre-war housing right by series of limitations, is emphasised in today's review of the correspondent of Tanjug from Sarajevo Zdravko Milanovic. The international community is insisting on adopting of this law in order tor make conditions for realisation of Sarajevo declaration and mass return of 20,000 Serbs and Croats from Sarajevo into their apartments illegally taken away from them. Federal and representatives of international organisations in B&H are discussing regulations of the Law for several days already, Milanovic reminds.

SARAJEVO - The Cabinet of B&H Presidency's chairman Alija Izetbegovic has announced that it would submit a protest to the Croatian Government regarding statements of the Croatian President Franjo Tudjman made at the fourth congress of the Croatian Democratic Community (HDZ), radio Herzeg- Bosnia reports, without citing the statements. As it has been announced from Izetbegovic's Cabinet, B&H Ambassador to Zagreb would get instructions to submit a protest to the Croatian Foreign Affairs Ministry regarding the disputable decisions.

BELGRADE - The RS Prime Minister Milorad Dodik expressed in Belgrade satisfaction with results of the visit to U.S.A during which promises for a significant help for RS, which should stabilise economic situation in RS in the following period, were obtained from official Washington. RS Premier said that the U.S. Congress have approved a $5 millions loan to RS for help in solving of social problems, which would be forwarded directly to the Government. "When it is about the help, there are just operative work left to be done and technical details of transfer of funds left to be fixed", Dodik explained.

BANJALUKA - The vice-president of RS Government and Minister for Economic Relations with Foreign Countries Savo Loncar assessed talks with the delegation of the European Parliament about economic help as very useful. The vice-president Loncar said that forming of the RS budget and way of implementation of the project were discussed, and that special attention was paid to legal regulation from the field of privatisation, which should be compatible with European. The EU delegation has showed special interest in the field of agriculture and food industry, for which significant funds have been appropriated already.

SARAJEVO - In the framework of preparations for B&H Ambassadors to take over duties in the hotel "Bistrica" on Jahorina a meeting was held, where the RS Defence Minister Manojlo Milovanovic wished them successful work. The Minister Milovanovic told the newly appointed extraordinary and plenipotentiary Ambassador of B&H that the primary political stance in their work in the world had to be contribution to consistent and strict implementation of the Dayton peace accord. "Observing of the Peace accord means to us the struggle for permanent peace in these regions, accomplishment of national vital interests of constitutive nations and of more perspective, beautiful, wealthier and happier life of all people and citizens who live in B&H".

BANJALUKA - The chief of RS President's Cabinet Milos Prica expressed in talks with EU delegation in Banjaluka expectancy that EU would maximally help "encouraging" processes in RS. Prica emphasised that RS saw itself as a part of Europe and wanted to become a member of EU in the future. Prica and an associate of RS President Ana Mitrovic had talks with members of EU delegation about political situation in RS after election of the new Government, regarding problems in implementation of the Dayton peace accord, and about economic help for RS.

BRCKO - In Brcko's port first ten ships of Water Resources Management enterprise of "Sava" should sail into, with local port director's office. Sailing permissions for the ships, which had been anchored in Smederevo's harbour during the war, an enterprise " Factor RB" which is also and one of financiers and organisers of new opening of the river port on Sava, provided from the OHR.

SARAJEVO - The International Conference about Dangers of Mines in B&H, which main goal to raise the deadly legacy of all war devices to the international level, has been opened in Kolegijum Artistikum in the federal part of Sarajevo, organised by the International Red Cross. The RS Deputy Minister of Education Proko Dragosavljevic addressing all those present and participants of the workshop greeted all organisations and people of good will who were " trying to destroy the mines and all other unexploded devices in B&H" and promised that activities of RS Government would be aimed in that direction. Dragosavljevic told all political, military, economic and other factors in the world to draw a lesson from countries devastated by a war, and to support only peaceful and political solutions and stop on-going wars.

SARAJEVO - The International Community High Representative for B&H Carlos Westendorp, during a visit to divided Mostar, warned local Muslim and Croat representatives to reach an agreement on solving of increased problems as soon as possible or he would judge by an arbitrage decision, a Muslim Radio in Sarajevo reported. During yesterday's visit to Mostar Westendorp " not functioning of unique city administration and judicial system, as well as not implementing of results of the local elections" included in the problems.

SARAJEVO - Croatian returnees in the village of Paklarevo near Travnik, unsatisfied with police's behaviour, who does not guarantee them security and protection, forwarded a letter to the B&H Internal Affairs Ministry saying that they have been "intimidated by local mujahedeens" and they are looking for replacement of the head of the Police Station in Travnik Franjo Grganovic. The Croatian returnees are not being permitted to enter in Paklarevo, nor their properties, and a similar situation is in neighbouring village of Barisici, where Croats, who are engaged in agriculture and cattle raising, have been deprived of the right to work, Croatian media report.
