BELGRADE - In the association for assistance to refugees in FR Yugoslavia
/FRY/ until now reported 238 refugees who wish to return to their homes in
B&H, i.e., as frequently stated in applications, to solve the issue of
their apartment or house, which do not imply remaining in these regions.
SARAJEVO - The special U.S. envoy for Balkans Robert Gelbard announced for
February 3 in federal part of Sarajevo the conference about problems of
refugees and displaced persons, which will be chaired by him and High
Representative of international community for B&H Carlos Westendorp. On the
occasion of its 19th visit to the region the U.S. diplomat stated that its
objective is "to clearly and energeticaly show the decisiveness of U.S. for
survival and intensifying realisation of Dayton Agreement".
BELGRADE - The representatives of the syndicate organisations of Serbia and
Republika Srpska /RS/ agreed in Belgrade that the priorities in work during
this year will be in finding possibilities for greater use of economic
capacities and employment, in order to improve the material status of all
citizens.
DOBOJ - In the settlement Dobrinja, in the immediate vicinity of the road
Visoko-Kakanj in Federation B&H /FB&H/, last week was desecrated nine
tombstones of Croats buried in the Croatian cemetery, as well as the chapel
in the graveyard, announced for SRNA in Tuzla the spokesman of IPTF Andre
Agneli. "Local police revealed four persons of Moslem nationality from
Zenica, for which is supposed that are perpetrators of these acts and
against them is set a judicial proceeding in the Court in Visoko" - said
Agneli.
ROGATICA - In the premises of the Basic State Enterprise "Sjemec" in
Rogatica posthumously were delivered the decorations for 146 fallen members
of Rogatica brigade of RS Army /VRS/, which received their families. To the
gathered people addressed the colonel Slobodan Cerovic, president of
municipal assembly Zoran Kosovic and the commander of the Rogatica brigade
lieutenant colonel RAjko Kusic, who said that "because of fallen heroes we
must stay united, in order to withstand all temptations which could happen
to us".
BELGRADE - His Holy Highness Serbian patriarch Mr. Pavle called the
believers in the Congregational Church in Belgrade always to have in mind
what Christianity orders and not to allow the place of our religion to
various satanic sects, which are a great danger, especially for young and
uninitiated people. "Let's pray that this year be more successful and
better than last, and how it will be, it depends on individuals" - said
patriarch Pavle after serving holy archpriest liturgy and new year's
praying.
