A communique from president Krajisnik's cabinet said that police chiefs can be appointed and dismissed only by RS minister of interior. "As people of law, you are aware what discontinued subordination and violation of Constitution and Law mean, even more because you were appointed by Biljana Plavsic's unlawful act, and taken to your working places illegitimately and forcibly."

This was assessed at the meeting of RS minister of interior Dragan Kijac and the RS anti-terrorist police unit commander general-major Goran Saric in Bijeljina.

SARAJEVO - RS MUP called on CJB staff in Banjaluka not to proceed with the execution of orders issued by new chiefs appointed to their posts by the decision of RS president Biljana Plavsic. "We have to remind you that the RS MUP operates as a single institution and that its mandate will be completely fulfilled if those subordinated to a new command understand that they are being misled", says the announcement of the RS MUP.

SARAJEVO - The head of the State Security Department, Dragisa Mihic, asked from RS president Biljana Plavsic, SFOR and IPTF that they present the documentation confiscated in the CJB and state security service in Banjaluka to competent prosecutor's office or to the public, in order to stop further manipulation of the people. SRNA publishes the entire announcement from the RS MUP.

BANJALUKA - SFOR members who occupied, on August 20, the MUP Training Centre in Banjaluka and ejected students, have no intention to leave the building, stated the Centre director Mladjen Mladenovic. The multinational forces intend not only to stay, but also to bring in additional troops and equipment, Mladjenovic was informed during his talks with SFOR and IPTF representatives.

DOBOJ - SFOR helicopters and ground units of SFOR carried out a combined military exercise in the area between Doboj and Modrica, which upset the local residents. Before the start of the exercise, the SFOR Nordic-Polish Brigade Information Service announced that the exercise was aimed at coordinating eventual joint operations of air and ground forces.
