SARAJEVO - The National Assembly of Republika Srpska (RS) adopted
Information on enforcement of Law on Children's Protection and Draft Law on
internal affairs. The eight session of the National Assembly was closed by
an open demand to high representative Carl Bildt that he recall all IPTF
demands which are not in accordance with the Dayton agreement, and thus
enable the RS Ministry of Internal Affairs to fulfil its duties. The RS
National Assmelby is opted for a consistent implementation of the Dayton
agreement, for maintenance of territorial integrity and achieved to level
of sovereignty based upon the Dayton agreement, reads the announcement
signed by the Assembly president Dragan Kalinic.
SARAJEVO - The president from RS in the B-H Presidency, Momcilo Krajisnik
talked in Pale with deputy US secretary of state for finances, David Lipton
on pending issues in relation to the functioning of the Central Bank.
Krajisnik confirmed that some problems are left unresolved, and that there
are some elements which are expected to be adjusted next week.
SARAJEVO - The scheduled session of the B-H Council of Ministers did not
take place, because Council co-president failed to provide Serb members of
the Council with agenda. Other than this, already agreed to Law on customs
policy was not signed by the Council co-president Haris Silajdzic, so its
eventual adoption was not possible.
PALE - Svetko Gacanin deputy commander of special unit "Beli Vukovi", who
lost his life on May 8 was buried today at the family cemetery in Pale.
SAMAC - Works on the Bijeljina-Brcko railroad would start in June, this was
agreed at a meeting between representatives of the Transport Institute CIP
from Belgrade, the RS Railway-Transport Enterprise and Sabac authorities.
