SARAJEVO - On the Jahorina mountain tomorrow will be held the eighth
session of the National Assembly of Republika Srpska /RS/ at which, besides
other things, to the delegates will be presented the Report about the work
of the Government for the period from Decebmer 1, last year until May 1,
this year. Before the delegates will be placed also the Report about
considering the Proposal for amendment of the basis of economic policy of
RS for 1997, as well as the Information about the previous commitments
agreed with the international organs and organisations related to the
reconstruction and development of RS.
SIPOVO - The president from RS in the Presidency of B&H Momcilo Krajisnik,
the prime minister Gojko Klickovic and the charge d'affaires of the U.S.
embassy in Sarajevo Michael Parmly are in Sipovo today, where they would
talk with the authorities of the municipality about the realisation of the
project of renewal and reconstruction of this region. As is expected,
the special attention will be paid to the possibility of rehabilitation of
the electric grid and roads, damaged in the war, but also after the signing
the Dayton Agreement, when the Croatian armed forces, before returning
Sipovo destroyed everything that could be used for the normalisation of
life in this municipality, in which Serbs always constituted the absolute
majority.
ZVORNIK - In the five registering centres in the region of the municipality
Zvornik for the September's local elections is registered more than 16,000
eligible citizens, what represents about 35% of total electorate. The best
turnout of voter was reported in the registering centre No. 1 to which
belongs Zvornik, St. Stephen, Karakaj and Celopek, where until today at 13
o'clock was registered 51% of the total electorate.
ZVORNIK - The representatives of the U.S. contingent of SFOR in last days
are making the great pressure on the local authorities in municipality
Zvornik to accelerate the opening of the market in the village Memici, at
the border between RS and Federation B&H. As SRNA learns from the unnamed
officer from U.S. SFOR, almost all of the works on the market place were
finished and there remained the covering with crushed rocks.
SARAJEVO - Today is two years from the beginning of the NATO bombarding the
civilian and military targets in RS, which also meant the open interference
of the most powerful military alliance into the civil war in B&H on the
side of Moslems and Croats. Four hours before the expiring of the ultimatum
to the warred factions to pull out the heavy weapons from the zone
of exclusion of 20 kms from the centre of Sarajevo, at 16,00 h
six aircraft of the western military alliance have thrown the
mortal cargo on the surroundings of Pale. For irony to be grater,
the war Capital of RS was in the zone of exclusion of the heavy
weapons - writes in an review "Two years from the first attack of the

NOVI SAD - In Novi Sad is finished the 64th international fair of the
agriculture at which its products presented around 1,800 exhibitors from FR
Yugoslavia and from 30 countries from abroad. The exhibitors from RS
reached the significant success at this year's fair. The factory of engines
"FAMOS" - Koran Pale is the winner of the golden medal for quality and
technical performances of the automatic two-rows planting machine, while
the factory of the agricultural machines from Kozarska Dubica is the winner
of the silver medal for three-furrow plough invertor and silver medal for
machine for taking out potatoes.
