NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BELGRADE - The president of the Government of Republika Srpska /RS/ Gojko Klickovic met in Belgrade with the president of Government of Serbia Mirko Marjanovic. In the Cabinet of the president Marjanovic was confirmed that at the meeting is considered the operativness of the tasks arisen from the lately signed Agreement on the special parallel relations between RS and FR Yugoslavia /FRY/.

SARAJEVO - The minister for refugees and displaced persons in the Government of RS Ljubisa Vladusic talked in Pale with members of the Office for Imigration in Sweden and the parliament of that country about the problem of returning of refugees in Srpska and Federation B&H. Mr. Vladusic stressed that in RS momentarily lives 464,000 of refugees and displaced persons, 96% of which expressed the desire to stay in the Serbian territory.

SARAJEVO - The deputy minister of Finance in RS Government Zdravko Marinkovic talked in Pale with the delegation of the World Bank, led by William Fox, about the current status and development of the financial infrastructure of RS. According to Mr. Marinkovic, the members of the mission of the World Bank will, on the basis of given information, make certain analyses, with which results were acquainted the international financial institutions, so the eventual aid would be provided for realisation of this year's Budget of RS.

BRCKO - The World Bank will invest in the renewal of Brcko four million of U.S. dollars, and the first instalment of 1,900,000 dollars will be paid at the beginning of April - stated the president of the Municipal Assembly /SO/ Miodrag Pajic. After the meeting with the representatives of the World Bank, Mr. Pajic precisely stated that 600,000 dollars is intended for the revitalisation of water-supplying system of the city, and 1,300,000 dollars for renewal of housing units in Brcko.

SARAJEVO - With the aim to start the public campaign for finding the missing persons in the regions of B&H in Pale today, the members of ICRC acquainted the representatives of the media about this but also about the problems of protection of population from the mines remained after the war. The presiding of the Work Group of ICRC for missing persons Margaret Kontat presented the third issue of the publication with the names of 17,268 missing persons in B&H, which would be given at the disposal to all the citizens of RS, which could help by their testimonies or inform about some missing person who is not in evidence.

BANJA LUKA - The objective of the campaign, started by ICRC, for missing persons disappeared during the war in B&H is the collecting the free will statements of the people which were witnesses of their disappearing - said at the press conference in Banja Luka the chief of Banja Luka branch office of ICRC Tanja Sabuza. She added that this is one of the ways that ICRC get information about the destiny of missing persons, while another source of information is the former worried fractions, exhumation of the mass graves and identification.

SARAJEVO - The ministry of the Internal Affairs /MUP/ of RS denied as absolutely wrong the allegations of the certain media who claims that MUP of RS is sending its members and providing the documentation for departure of the RS citizens in Zaire. In the announcement, signed by the minister Dragan Kijac, MUP of RS denies these malicious and tendencious allegations, which represent the attempt to undermine the reputation of MUP of RS as the state organ which in the next period have to do extraordinary significant and responsible tasks.

ZVORNIK - The chief of the Police stations /CJB/ Zvornik the colonel Dragomir Vasic warned that the security situation in the region of this municipality tends to be worsened, particularly concerning the security of the state border. While participating in the work of the session of Municipality Board of Zvornik, Mr. Vasic presented the fact that until now 98 % of citizens of Mahala, Jusici and Dugi Dio, had got the identity cards of RS.

DOBOJ - Moslems, who are coming with members of SFOR on the territory of RS and attend the meetings in the HQ of the Nordic- Polish brigade, situated in Doboj, are writing the graffiti and Moslem party signs along the road where they are passing by. One of such graffiti was discovered by the police patrol from Doboj on the concrete power transmission pole near the SFOR head quarters, at which was written the signs of the Party of Democratic Action /SDA/.

DOBOJ - The Police station in Doboj announced that Moslems settled in the border settlement Hodzici taken off the interentity demarcation line marks between RS and F B&H. As stated in the announcement, the HQ of SFOR informed the Police Station in Doboj about this incident, and the Serbian policemen have undertaken the appropriate measures and are putting stronger marks.

ROGATICA - The representatives of the municipal authorities in Rogatica sent the written protest to SFOR - the command of the Portugal battalion - because its members on March 19, without previous concordance of the Ministry of Faith and without informing the municipal authorities, entered into the Roman Catholic church in Rogatica. In the protest is said that such gesture "is considered as the incident which can significantly undermine the good relations between the command of the Portugal battalion and the municipal authorities".

STOCKHOLM - The basic programme of the Serbian Association in Sweden is fostering the Serbian culture, the connections with the Fatherland, along with the simultaneous integration of its members into the Swedish society - it is concluded at the Assembly of the Association. The delegates of the Assembly elected its member Milan Maric for the president, and Grujo Morovic for his deputy.
