BANJALUKA - Three new witnesses were heard in Banjaluka's Main Court in a process against Bosnian Muslims leader Alija Izetbegovic, charged with war crimes and genocide against the Serbian civilians from April 1992 to the end of October 1995. First witness was Aleksandar Pavlovic from Brcko who was detained in Muslims prisons in Gornji Rahic and Maoca in period from May 6 to July 14, 1992.

BANAJLUKA - The RS Defence Ministry organised a round table "Military Judiciary and Jurisdiction of Military Courts". In first discussions participants emphasised military legal bodies are essential to creation of modern and professional army.

BEOGRAD - Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic authorised the head of the Arbitration Commission for Brcko Area, Roberts Owen to bring a decision about the status of Brcko he might consider appropriate if three members of the Arbitration Commission fail to agree. This was claimed by the vice- president of the Serbian Liberal Party, Kosta Cavoski, who presented Milosevic's letter to Roberts Owen of August 28, writes "Demokratija".

VUKOVAR - The largest non-political organisation in the Srem-Baranja District "Preporod" from Vukovar, warned the UN Security Council that UNTAES mandate was too short and did not facilitate the implementation of those elements key for longterm stability in this Serb territory. "Preporod"'s letter, sent to the Security Council and other relevant international organisations, listed all Serb demands in relation to this District.

DARDA - Lessons in 27 primary schools for 11,500 pupils in the Serb District of Eastern-Slavonija, Baranja and Western Srem are regular and are held under Serbia's curriculum, stated Ljubisa Ivanovic, advisor in the District Secretariat for Education.
