SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of the Dayton B&H, Momcilo Krajisnik, talked in Pale with a delegation of the Executive Board of the Serbian District of Eastern Slavonia Baranja and Western Srem, to clear out some indications of possible new mass exodus of the Serbs from the District. The delegation was led by the head of the Executive Board of the District, Vojislav Stanimirovic, while the meeting was also attended by the deputy foreign minister in the Council of Ministers of the Dayton B-H, Dragan Bozanic, and the ambassador in the Contact Group, Robert Bickroft. "Republika Srpska (RS) is extremely concerned because of the worsening of the situation in Eastern Slavonia where peace is endangered and its residents are threatened with a new exodus", stated Bozanic for SRNA after the meeting.

SARAJEVO - The governor of the RS National Bank, Manojlo Coric, talked in Pale with the representative of the International Monetary Fund (IMF), Scott Brown, who is taking part in the organisation of the Central Bank of the Dayton B-H, about the future cooperation between the RS National Bank and IMF. "The basic functions of the Central Bank of the Dayton B-H have yet to be established, but I think that this will be solved as was defined by the Dayton agreement and in the interest of all the three nations in the Dayton B-H", stated Coric after the meeting.

ROME - At a meeting of the International Arbitration Panel, the Muslims agreed to consider the possibility that a port in Orasje, on the Sava river, near Zupanja, be widened, while a port in Brcko would remain to RS, learns SRNA's correspondent from Muslim journalists who are recording statements of their representatives allegedly for an documentation. Even the Italian papers are writing about this, asserting that yesterday the RS experts, who were very well prepared, were presenting the problem of the Brcko port.

BELGRADE - The Serbian President Slobodan Milosevic "is seeking for a solution to the crisis in Serbia, for he realises that the problem of the municipal elections was purely solved", stated the Greek foreign minister, Theodoros Pangalos. "Milosevic seems to understand that his electoral policy was devastating", assessed Panagalos in his interview for BBC.

BEOGRAD - The undersecretary of the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Pierre Fasino, confirmed in Belgrade that the reimposition of "severe sanctions against FR Yugoslavia is being considered for the case that the Government keeps its firm stance and fail to recognise the original election results". This was confirmed at a press conference by the leader of the Students' protests 96/97, Dusan Vasiljevic, who said that the students "insisted that sanctions be considered as the last option" during his meeting with Fasino.

BEOGRAD - The undersecretary in the Italian Foreign Ministry, Pierre Fasino, stated that Yugoslav foreign minister, Milan Milutinovic, was demanded that the November 17 municipal elections be recognised immediately. Fasino explained that Milutinovic received Italian chief of diplomacy, Lamberto Dini's letter containing this demand, common to all Contact Group countries.

BEOGRAD - Leaders of the Coalition "Together", Zoran Djindjic and Vuk Draskovic, stated that the protests would continue even after a decision of the Belgrade's City Electoral Commission to recognise the majority votes for the opposition Coalition for the City Assembly. "We will ask for a full recognition of the electoral results in all cities in which we won, and there is no bargaining about that", stated the president of the Democratic Party (DS) Zoran Djindjic for Radio-Index.

STOCKHOLM - The president of the Serb Association in Sweden, Grujo Morovic, stated that this organisation expected Serbian president Slobodan Milosevic to respect the peoples' will and recognise the results of the local elections of November 17.

ZAGREB - Alija Izetbegovic did not give up political goals set forth in his "Islamic Declaration", which represented a programme for the creation of an Islamic B-H, stated the president in the Dayton B-H Presidency, Kresimir Zubak. "Izetbegovic's Party of Democratic Action (SDA) is a national movement which aims the creation of an Islamic Bosnia", stated Zubak pointing out that "these are not only Croat or Serb paroles to frighten people, but the reality".

MOSTAR - The president in the Dayton B-H Presidency, Kresimir Zubak sent a letter to the deputy high representative in the Dayton B-H Michael Steiner, demanding that Stenier pledges additional efforts for establishment of the city authorities in Sarajevo, reports the Croatian Radio Herzeg-Bosnia.

SARAJEVO - The Croatian Government wants to divide the Serb District of Eastern Slavonia, Baranja and Western Srem into two districts, in which the Serbs would be an absolute minority, without any chance for local management, stated the president of the Executive Board of the Serb District, Vojislav Stanimirovic.

TRAVNIK - The local mufti Nusret Avdibegovic called to all Muslim women not to receive Ramazan greetings from "kaurs" (non- Muslims), comments the Croat Radio.

MOSTAR - The secretary of the Federal Ministry of Welfare, Fadil Haveric and his driver Akif Tabakovic were plundered at the entrance into Mostar, near the village of Kovac, upon their arrival from the Donors' Conference held in Brussels.
