NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

BANJALUKA - The World Bank provided US $ 101 million for reconstruction of the Dayton B-H, 30 million of which is to be allocated to Republika Srpska (RS) for reconstruction of industrial factories, stated the RS finance minister, Ranko Travar. He stated that the World Bank would correct its previous mistake and provide RS with promised financial aid.

ZVORNIK - The right to return of displaced persons to the zones of separation was abused in the villages of Jusici and Dugi Do, which was admitted by IFOR and IPTF representatives, stated Jovan Mitrovic, Zovnik mayor. He met with representatives of the International Commission for Resettling of Zones of Separation and expressed his disappointment with a lack of cooperativeness with the Muslim party when in question the two occupied villages.

DOBOJ - The UNHCR is gradually reducing distribution of humanitarian aid for the Dayton B-H, and early next year the aid distribution will be ceased, this was announced by UNHCR officials. UNHCR spokesman for the Banjaluka- Doboj region, Mans Niberg, explained that the distribution will be carried out by the World Food Programme, while the UNHCR is to focus on other aspects of aid necessary for the RS ad Federation B-H residents.

BEOGRAD - The World Congress of the Serbs, sent a message, from its session held in Chicago that the Congress continued its struggle for the liberation of Serbia and unification of all Serb lands into a single state. "The Congress is advocating a national-political position directed towards the defence of Serbdom: 'Unified Serbdom in liberated Serbia'", says their message.

SARAJEVO - The Muslim member of the Dayton B-H Presidency, Alija Izetbegovic, believes that "Brcko legally belongs to the Federation". He stated for the Muslim TV Sarajevo that "Brcko is to be defended primarily through arbitration", and added that: "We want to continue our battle for Brcko. The arriving at the peace agreement itself could have almost failed because of the issue of this city".

SARAJEVO - UN spokesman, Aleksandar Ivanko, stated that three Muslim houses were blown up this weekend in Capljina. He demanded local Croat police to arrest culprits and prevent such crimes from occurring.
