NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president in the Presidency of Dayton B&H, Momcilo Krajinsik, received in Pale the chief of the EU observers mission for the former Yugoslavia, McKenfry, on the occasion of his farewell visit. "I pointed at unavoidability of the equality of both entities, both in political and economic relations", said the RS president in the Presidency, adding the international economic aid must be equally distributed to both entities.

SARAJEVO - Haris Silajdzic, Hasan Muratovic and Husein Zivalj are the candidates of the Party of Democratic Action for Muslim members of the Council of Ministers of Dayton B&H.

SARAJEVO - Last night, members of the Croatian Council of Defence forced one more Muslim out of his apartment in the Croatian part of Mostar, a UN's representative in Sarajevo, Ariana Kantye, stated for AFP.

BRUSSELS - The NATO foreign ministers approved the plan for dispatching new international forces to the Dayton B&H, reports DPA citing an unnamed NATO senior official. The mandate of IFOR - which includes about 60,000 soldiers under the command of NATO - expires on the 20th of December.

MOSCOW - Russia is still sharply opposing NATO's expansion to the East, inspite of "unfounded" rumours saying its position is moderating, stated Boris Yeltsin's press secretary in Kremlin, Sergei Yastrzhembsky. "Russia's stance has not changed, although, our partners have been from time to time stating that Moscow is becoming tenderer", specified Yastrzhembsky.

PARIS - French foreign minister Herve de Charette, explained the position of Paris in the French-American "wrangle" about the NATO Southern Command, and restated that France does not want its officer to head the Command. "The position of France is so poorly interpreted. It's not true that we wish a French officer to head the Southern Command", said categorically the chief of the French diplomacy.

BELGRADE - A constitutive session of the Council of Citizens of a new Federal Assembly's session, started in Belgrade. By the time a head of the Council is elected, as the oldest representative from the Democratic Party of Socialists of Montenegro, Milo Markovic is presiding the session. The mandates of deputies will be verified and new president and vice-president of the Council as well as presidents and members of the Board of Council and the Commissions of Federal Assembly, be elected at the session.

VIENNA - The Austrian conservative daily Presse, lined up Croatia in the rank of the communistic systems of China, Cuba and Northern Korea, and "the greatest Croatian nationalist", Franjo Tudjman, among the orthodox communists.
