NEWS REVIEW, REPUBLIKA SRPSKA

SARAJEVO - The president and vice-president of the National Assmelby of Republika Srpska (RS), Dragan Kalinic and Nikola Poplasen, visited the Foreign Office and talked with the political director of the British diplomatic house, John Peily, about the results of the Paris Conference and the forthcoming summit on the Dayton B-H, scheduled to take place next month in London. The British diplomat was said to have stressed that his government's treatment of RS and the B-H Federation will continue to be in the spirits of the Dayton agreement, i.e. under the principle of equity.

SARAJEVO - The General Staff of the Army of Republika Srpska (VRS) announced that, based upon Defence Law, Decrees and Decisions by the RS president and VRS commander-in-chief, Biljana Plavsic, has undertaken a series of measures and activities towards the reorganisation of the VRS. The VRS General Staff issued a press release stating that the planned activities to filling up the most important posts in the Army are progressing, and that the General Staff fully controls the situation in RS through the appropriate commands and units.

ZVORNIK - A decision of the high representative, Carl Bildt, banning deliveries of construction material and other equipment to the Muslims in the inter-entity zones of separation is not being respected, stated an unnamed IPTF officer in Zvornik. "In the last two days, UNHCR representatives has been regularly delivering construction material and food to Muslims in the villages of Jusici, Mahala and Dugi Do in the RS territory", stated this officer.

ZURICH - The Swiss press assessed that the Paris conference on the Dayton B- H reaffirmed that the Dayton agreement, other then ended the fighting in the former B-H, produced no effect on the ground thus far. Freedom of movement was mentioned as a complete failure, as armed Muslims groups began to reach the RS territory.

MOSTAR - The deputy mayor of Mostar, Safet Orucevic arrived to Sarajevo for talks with Muslim leader Alija Izetbegovic on new deterioration of the situation in the city of Mostar, report Muslim media.
