SARAJEVO - Vicepresident of the Republika Srpska (RS),
Biljana Plavsic stated that the implementation of the Dayton
agreement and the return of refugees to their homes are the
strategic issues by which the Srpska leadership will be occupied
with. Dr. Plavsic said that elections, scheduled for September
14, are the priority task, which is "being understood and accept
ed in the RS as such".
SARAJEVO - Following six months of work on the correction of
border lines between the RS and the CroatMuslim Federation, the
IFOR commander, admiral Leighton Smith ratified the agreement
reached between the governments of the RS and the Federation of B-H on the agreed corrections of the border between the RS and
the F B-H. By the ratification of the agreement, signed by both
governments, the first phase of the work on the border correc
tion was finished, says a communique signed by the vice
president of the RS government for social activities and presi
dent of the State Commission for Demarcation, Velibor Ostojic.
SARAJEVO - The international community, High Representative
for Civil Affairs, Carl Bildt and ICRC, are the only competent
and capable to, in cooperation with all three parties, end the
exchange of imprisoned and missing persons, said the president of
the Commission for Exchange of Imprisoned and Missing Persons
from Srpska, Dragan Bulajic. Being a guest at the Serbian Radio
TV, Bulajic appealed to the families of captured and missing
persons to use their right maximally, in order to learn the truth
and find out about the fate that befell their relatives.
