REVIEW OF EVENING NEWS, JUNE 05, 1996

SARAJEVO - The state organs of Republika Srpska are support ing the process of democratisation and state recovery of the Russian Federation, stated the RS Foreign Minister Aleksa Buha. "The Srpska leaders believes that president Boris Yeltsin is on a good way to provide further development of the process", said Buha while commenting on the upcoming presidential elections in Russia.

DOBOJ - The RS Government delegation, headed by the vice premier Velibor Ostojic, talked in Doboj with political and economic representatives of Doboj, Petrovo, Teslic, Derventa and Brod about the political and economic situation in these munici palities.

BANJALUKA - The RS vicepremier Milomir Draganic stated in Banjaluka that 45,000 refugees returned to Sipovo, Novi Grad and Srpska Kostajnica.

BANJALUKA - The deputy high representative of the interna tional community Michael Steiner stated after a meeting with opposition leaders in Banjaluka that "he is encouraged by their readiness to participate in elections". Steiner also met the Joint Commission for the socalled Northwest sector and civil organs of Drvar, Kljuc, Banjaluka, Mrkonjic Grad and Prijedor and informed them about decisions reached in Geneva.

SARAJEVO - The ICRC will soon start to collect data on missing persons among populace, said a communique issued by the Pale Office of this organisation. The communique stressed that at yesterday's meeting of the Working Group for missing persons directives on procedures of exhumation were adopted.

PRISTINA - U.S. Deputy Secretary of State John Cornblum opened in Pristina an office of American Information Centre. Cornblum expresed the hope that the Centre will "become place for talks for all residents of Kosovo, regardless of their nationali ty".
