SRNA REVIEW OF DAILY NEWS, March 30, 1996

Srpska Republica News Agency (SRNA) Directory

From: Mirjana Petrovic <almirja@cotton.vislab.olemiss.edu>

BANJALUKA - The RS premier, Rajko Kasagic, met in Banjaluka with the high representative of the international community, Carl Bildt, and the Muslim premier, Hasan Muratovic. Before the meet ing, Bildt stated that the main subject will be the coordination of the constitutions of the RS and the Croat/Muslim Federation.

BANJALUKA - The RS Army First and Second Krajina Corps commissions for prisoner exchange demand the Muslims and Croats to release 1,400 Serb soldiers. However, representatives of the Croat/Muslim Federation are ignoring this number and Serb de mands, trying to prove that they are holding only 95 Serbs in their camps in Mostar, Tuzla and Zenica.

SARAJEVO - Muslim soldiers, dressed in American uniforms and armed with rifles, are assigned to Serb houses in Mrkovici, a village North of Sarajevo which according to the Dayton agreement belonged to the Croat/Muslim Federation. Muslim soldiers are taking away households which left beyond the Serbs.

TRNOVO - The PaleTrnovo road is free for traffic, despite the presence of two Muslim police patrols, reported SRNA's jour nalists. The first Muslim patrol is in the area of Brus on Mt. Trebevic, and the second is in front of Trnovo.

STOCKHOLM - The Swedish paper Svenska Dagbladet assessed that "the decision of the Hague tribunal to return colonel Aleksa Krsmanovic to the Muslim authority in Sarajevo will endanger the peace process in the former B-H". The paper pointed out that "instead of releasing Krsmanovic because of lack of evidence, the tribunal made the decision which will produce fierce Serb pro tests and at the same time will increase World's mistrust towards the Hague tribunal".

BERLIN - The Croat/Muslim Federation has never existed, but HercegBosnia is the reality although the Dayton agreement says it should not exist, writes Junge Welt. The paper says that even Croat/Muslim sponsors, Germany and the USA, are realising that this "unnatural creation" will not be able to function in this form.
