[01] UDMR Press Conference
UDMR said the the attempt of some political forces to exploit the
amendments brought to Law 69, regarding the bilingual inscription and those
of the Educational Law to create a false hungarian problem represent an
embezzlement of public opinion's attention from the real problems. The
executive director of UDMR, Csaba Tokacs, said during the press conference
that the Government should consolidade its position regarding the reform by
assureing some coherent mechanisms to rule. As far as the clashes of
opinion which exist inside the coalition, UDMR said that this problem
should be solved by setting up new measures to secure the good cooperation

[02] PDSR Press Conference
PDSR will have to capitalize his entire political potential - said vice-
president Ioan Mircea Pascu during the press conference which took place on
Tusday. The activity will concentrate over the preparations of the National
Council, due in September, during which a new political strategy will be
presented and the alternative programme for the present rule will be
finalised. PDSR's leaders consider that the party's image should be
improved, all these problems are to be finalised during the meetings with
the representatives of the organizations in the country. Ioan Mircea Pascu
proposed a meeting with representatives with other parties to discuss the
consequences of emergency Ordinance regarding the Educational Law. As far
as Land Law concerns, PDSR opposes any change. Refering to the rejection of
Romania's candidancy for the UE, PDSR vice-president said that the cause is
represented by errors of information of the members of the Endorsemnt

The Italian Justice Minister, Giovanni Maria Flick, is making a two-day
visit in Romania, on Tuesday an Wednesday, at the request of his Romanian
counterpart, Valeriu Stoica. On the bases of the strategic partnership
between the two countries a colaboration protocol will be signed between
the two Ministries of Justice, which is ment to harmonize the Romanian
legislation with the comunitary one and to increase the cooperation in the
fight against corruption and organized crime - RRA-RADOR July 23rd
