Chalkidiki offers entertainment for ereryone. Every town and village has quiet, picturesque coffee shops as well as cosmopolitan cafes which offer beverages and local sweets, like "giaourtokarydomelo", which is yogurt with honey and walnuts, found at Arnea. "Pergola cafe" in Sithonia serves food at noon and in the evening and "Molos" and "Ice Soft Drinks" in Marmaras serve drinks in the evening and play Greek and foreign music. "Maxim" is famous for its delicious sweets. A stroll to Kalithea can be combined with coffee at the busy "Machu-Piccu", "Soulatso" and "O.K. Bar", "City Centre", all of which function as bars. In Nea Moudania, there is the famous "Dom" where everyone goes for coffee and drinks during the day. The town's tavernas and restaurants serve Greek and international specialties and of course local delicacies. One should taste octopus,"tomatakia liasta", lobster and fresh fish at "Haris" and "Pelagos" in beautiful Marmaras. "Dimitris", on the beach of Tristinika in Sithonia, is celebrated for its french fries and fresh octopus which is fished on the spot. "Takis's Ouzeri" in Fourka and "Vlachos's Psarotaverna" in Kriopigi serve delicious titbits, like stuffed eggplant. A walk to lovely Ouranoupoli can be concluded with dinner at "Kokkinos taverna" which offers delicious fresh fish and seafood. In Kalithea there are also "Alexandros", "Paramythi" and "Macedonian Sun". Those who don't like seafood should taste delicious braized chicken at Petralona, tasty ribs, steaks on coals at the only taverna of the mainland village of Kassandrino, or "souvlaki" at "Kostis" in Kriopigi and at "Bougatsatzidiko Tsaliki" in Marmaras. Other good restaurants are "Aiolos" in Siviri, "Paul" in Athitos, and "Sousourada" and "Vassilis" in Porto Koufo.
