The Thessaloniki Theatrical Scene
The months of November and December are dedicated to the "Theatrical
Scene of Thessaloniki". At the "Avlea" and "Aneton" theatres, the
following theatrical groups will present their work:
"Parathlasi", "New Forms", "Stage of the North", "Gregoris Mittas",
"Plateia", "Thessaloniki Theatre", "Seventh-floor Theatre", "Liki
Vithou", "Klafsigelos".
These groups will be subsidized with 1 million drachmas for a Greek play, a further 1 million drachmas for a play by a Thessalonian playwright, and will be offered every kind of tecnical support and promotion. During the same period, there will be events to honour the memory of theatre people of our city, like Zizos Haratsaris.
The European Theatre Festival has been organized in co-operation with the Sate Theatre of Northern Greece and with the participation of:

- the State Theatre, from Dusseldorf,
