Athens, September 10 (M.P.A.)

Following a meeting held with representatives from families that have more than four children, Miltiades Evert, leader of the main opposition party New Democracy, stated that the Greek economy must be strengthened in order to address the country's low birth rate.

Mr. Evert characterized the low birth rate as an expecially significant problem and promised that if N.D. wins the upcoming elections of September 22, all the previously abolished measures that aimed at providing aid to large families will be reinstated.
