THE NEW DEMOCRACY PARTY ISSUED A STATEMENT ON THE COMMENTS OF ITS LEADER CONCERNING THE MUSLIM MINORITY Athens 4 September (M.P.A.) The conservative opposition party New Democracy issued a statement on the comments made by its leader, Miltiadis Evert concerning the muslim minority. In the statement is stressed that in spite of the efforts made by the Foreign Ministry to present a different situation, there was absolutely no ambiguity created during mr.Evert's press conference regarding the members of the muslim minority. According to the statement, during the press conference had been clarified with a special emphasis that the members of the muslim minority are greek citizens enjoying all the rights guaranteed by international law and greek legislation.
